Volta Football is a hot topic of this year's FIFA 20, it is a new game mode, and fans are very excited to be exposed to this new street football mode. Today, we bring you the FIFA 20 Volta Football tips and tricks that will help you dominate the Volta Football league. Please read here carefully, whether you are a beginner or a veteran, this guide will be useful for you.

1. Nail the basics

FIFA 20 Volta Football is a more grounded take on the small-sided game, and as such, you need to play a more realistic style of football to succeed. You focus on simply doing the basics -- passing into space and playing intelligent defense -- and you'll find yourself winning plenty of games.

2. Use The Walls To Your Advantage

In matches where walls are present, you can make use of them in highly creative ways. Try bouncing the ball off the nearest wall to confuse the opposition, and you may just lure them into a poorly-timed tackle, leading to a goalscoring opportunity.

3. Work On Your Shooting Accuracy

In FIFA 20 Volta, to score goals, you'll need to master its unique manual style of taking shots. This means shooting is less about power and more about your accuracy with the left-stick. You need to aim in the exact direction you intend to shoot, or the ball will miss the goal entirely.

4. Avoid Rushing Out Of Position

Managing VOLTA players positioning is key. The best way to monitor your players' positioning is to identify team tactics ahead of each match and take note of which position each player is playing.

5. Pay Attention To Team Chemistry

You'll want to keep an eye on Team Chemistry in VOLTA. Three attributes contribute toward your chemistry; home turf, favorite formation, and position. You can also improve your Chemistry further by accommodating the players' favorite formations. All of this helps to give your team a slight edge on the pitch.

6. Upgrade Your Skill Tree

The Skill Tree allows you to customize how your player develops over time. Apply your Skill Points accordingly.

7. Jockey whenever you don't have the ball

Volta pitches are small enough that you can easily intercept the ball since passing lanes are so tight. You just need to ensure you're jockeying whenever you're not in possession, by holding L2/LT and moving your player into the passing lanes.

8. Keep your defenders back

It can be very easy to get possession of the ball as a defender in Volta street football and then start making a dash for the opposing goal. However, if you do this and lose possession immediately, you will be leaving your net wide open, and you will have very little chance to stop the other team from scoring.

9. Low power finesse shots are the best

Ensure you always hit the target is to hold R1/RB for a finesse shot and not put too much power on it, to ensure it stays on the ground level. Make sure your left stick is accurate and bam, you'll hardly miss a shot again.

10. Master the through-pass

By pressing Triangle on PS4 or Y on Xbox One in FIFA 20, you can perform a "through-pass" to a teammate, which aims where they are going to be by the time the bill arrives rather than where they are currently standing. Because there is no offside penalty in Volta, you can use the through-pass to open up huge holes in the defense and score an easy goal.

11. Use the drilled shot

At the other end of the pitch though, it can be tough to get through the robot-keepers. However, if you hold the two bumpers (L1 + R1 on PlayStation) you'll do a low driven shot that seems to have a greater chance of squirming under their feet – just like they do all the time to you.

12. Control Revvy directly

As you play through the Volta story mode, you will have the option of each game to either control the entire team or main character Revvy directly. We heavily suggest you pick the latter option, as it gives you the chance to call for passes and learn where your teammates should position themselves.

13. Switch to your defender and press tackle to protect your goal

To try and stop your opponent's shots going through your goalie, try switching to them as they bear down on goal, jockey with the left trigger (L2 on PlayStation), and press tackle (Square or Circle on PlayStation) in time with the shot. This should help you to get in the way of shots in rush goalkeeper modes.

14. Don't get too fancy with shots

FIFA 20 allows you to do all types of different shots, including "chip" shots and carefully-placed finesse shots, but these moves aren't necessary for success in Volta Football.

15. Don't be afraid of lob pass, volleys are good

Possession in Volta is key, and quick passing is vital for creating space and chances. However, it's not immediately apparent that the lob pass (square on PlayStation, X on Xbox), when used sparingly, can be quite good at creating that final opening for a shot.

16. Recruit Players When You Win

When you win a game in VOLTA Football, you're typically offered the chance to recruit a player (a copy of someone from the opposing side) for your team. Typically, it's best to opt for players with the best ratings.

17. Earn More Coins Via Tournaments

You get a few hundred coins for winning (and even drawing/losing) games in VOLTA Tour and VOLTA League, allowing you to acquire new items in the Shop.
