What are the Best Ways to Farm Final Fantasy XIV Gil?
Gil in Final Fantasy XIV is essential to a player's experience and progression in-game. Therefore, when entering the game, most players may ask the age-old question, "How do I get rich in-game?" However, getting a hold of its Gil economy can be a challenge. Here, we will show some of the best ways to farm Final Fantasy XIV Gil to help you enhance your gaming experience.
Completing Quests
The first recommended method for obtaining Gil would be to complete quests.
By regularly completing quests, tasks, and other activities, you can improve your character, acquire items, and gain Gil. Players can start the Main Scenario Quest by finding the NPC with the unique Main Scenario Quest icon above their head or viewing the recommended list to see the immediately adjacent quests. A minimum level is required for each main scenario quest. Some main scenario quests require players to talk to another NPC, while others require players to complete Dungeons, collect items, kill monsters, and more.
Most if not all of the missions in FFXIV will reward you in Gil upon completion. They also give you the option to choose another item as a prize, which can, in turn, be exchanged for Gil.
Completing Dungeons
The next method of making more Gil is to participate in and complete Dungeons.
Dungeons are instanced zones with powerful monsters and treasures, including a lot of Gil. Typically a dungeon will involve navigating through a zone filled with enemies, with intermittent boss enemies. Many dungeons require prerequisites to be fulfilled before they can be entered. If one or more members of the party have yet to clear the instance, all party members will receive a bonus upon completion.
Not only is completing dungeons a good way to earn Gil, but the player may obtain rare pieces of equipment as a reward as well. If you get any, you can use them to exchange or build stuff worth a lot more money. Once your character reaches level 50, he or she will start receiving Allagan Tomestones in the dungeons, which can be exchanged for high-level equipment or used as a special currency. If the player does not need this gear, it can usually be sold reasonably to either a vendor or another player. This method of making Gil goes hand in hand with the previous method of completing quests.
Completing the Challenge Log
The final recommended way of making Gil is to complete the Challenge Log.
The Challenge Log contains a list of adventuring objectives across a wide range of categories. Completing any one of these objectives will earn you rewards such as Gil and experience. Additional rewards can be earned for the overall completion of the Challenge Log. Challenges can be performed every week. Completion status is reset every week on Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. (PDT).
When a player reaches level 15, he/she will be allowed to enter the Challenge Log by performing the mission: Rising to the Challenge. The challenge log gives your character many small challenges, all of them reward varying amounts of Gil, and every week new challenges are added. The more your character advances in levels, the more he or she will be able to execute challenges with greater rewards, and by completing them, the more Gil you'll be able to put in the bank.
