• The Sacred Grove

The Harvest league opens with you meeting a new NPC, Oshabi. Ostracised from her people, the superstitious Azmeri, her interest in the potential of horticulture has inspired her to seek out a new identity. She discovers a new area called the Sacred Grove, which is an ancient and mysterious garden. To help her in her quest of self-discovery, she enlists Exiles to help her realize her monster-farming dreams.

So, how do we get to the Sacred Grove? Through the portal or through our hideout or what? The answer is through the portal. Find a seed cache, Oshabi steps into the portal, and says, "Do you want to come to plant some stuff"? You can say no, I'm taking these seeds, and then I'm going to continue playing games, or you can do gardening through the portal.

In addition, if you want to go back there, you can also visit it through your hideout.

• Plant Potent Seeds

While adventuring around the game world, you will occasionally find Seed Caches. Taking them on, you have two choices. You can gather up the seeds and then decide how you want to proceed. If you want to harvest them, you need to head to the Sacred Grove. Sow those seeds to grow dangerous and rewarding monsters. Players can hold up to 48 Seeds at a time. While most seeds grow easily, rarer high-tier ones require more careful planning but yield more valuable results.

Each seed has a monster type associated with it, and players can plop them into plots in the Sacred Grove to mature them. Plant your seeds and build a Collector. The collectors have 3 purposes. First, they will harvest any mature plants, causing them to spawn related monsters. Second, the Lifeforce will be gathered from the plants. Third and finally, Lifeforce is used to craft gear upgrades.

• Lifeforce

Lifeforce is the blood and water of the new expansion, it's everything. You collect it from your plants and store it for later use. Lifeforce is also pumped around into a network that helps feed your plants. And aside from that, it's vital for doing crafting this league. The new enchants will be locked behind various requirements, and need Lifeforce to slap onto your gear.

• Crafting

When it comes to crafting, Grinding Gear Games hopes to set a very different place for the Harvest league. Successive leagues require more and more rewards in order to feel, well, rewarding, and to combat this inflationary cycle, Harvest's rewards will be less frequent but more significant, as you control what loot you get through the garden you build.

Different seed types create different crafting options that are available after you've completed a harvest. So the more seeds you've got, the more options you'll have to steer the loot in your favor, with seeds of higher tiers or rarity offering some very unusual crafting traits. To get the best rewards you'll need a garden full of variety so that you can meet the lofty lifeforce requirements of the top tier of crafting options.

Unearth Legendary Foes

Oshabi speaks of the legend of three primordial beasts: Ersi, Januar, and Namharim. For those able to cultivate these rare seeds, the immense monsters that emerge can yield Harvest's most valuable rewards.
